• Write persuasively and use claims, evidence, and counterclaims to advocate and support an position
• Apply research techniques to analyze information gathered from diverse sources by identifying misconceptions and possible bias.

Students will participate in a performance task during quarter three. This task will serve as our Local Alternative Assessment and replaces the Grade 8 Writing SOL assessment.
