• Examine the change that results from the transmission of genetic information from generation to generation
• Explore properties of water and watersheds
• Advanced science course work requires additional complex application of the content. This can be demonstrated through additional lab work, student research projects or an equivalent 

Students are assessed on these topics on the Grade 8 Science SOL taken while enrolled in the Advanced Physical Science course.
